It is this weird mixture of literary know-how with props to the literary canon and absolute slut-creamed, cunt-stuffed filth. He's as well-read as he is depraved. He's as tortured and sensitive as he is brutal. He's as experimental and inventive as he is redundantly dirty. In some ways it's nothing more than a porn rag rolled up in the cab of an 18-wheeler and in others it's high Byzantine art. Nobody knows quite what to make of it, not even the author, I'd say, yet I couldn't put the book down and before I knew it I was finished and reaching for a tissue. Meanwhile the book was left on my bed so when my girlfriend came over I was embarrassed she saw the big "slut" back cover but every time she crawled into bed she'd read a bit more. It's as mesmerizing as it is disgusting--and that's it's very seductive (though overtly sexual) charm.
